Wedding Invitation Ideas

Vicki Churchill asked:

A wedding is a day that people look forward to as soon as an engagement is announced, the bride especially!. Most brides will begin to organise their wedding as soon as they have got engaged.

The first part of a wedding, and making the wedding official is the wedding invitations. This is something that will represent the couple who are getting married most wedding invitation ideas are to make the invitation original and unique.

Searching the internet for wedding invitation ideas is probably the best place to start. You will find many places that will offer you a huge amount of different wedding invitation ideas. Many online stores will offer you the option of having the cards made by them, or if you need to cut costs you can simply have a look at the designs to give yourself some wedding invitation ideas to make your own.

Making your own wedding invitations could save you a lot of money but this is something you will need to plan well in advance as it can be extremely time consuming especially if your wedding invitation ideas are more elaborate.

If you have made the decision to make your own, it is worth asking a friend or family member to share the work load, they do not have to be especially good at craft you could give each friend a small job to do, maybe cutting something or folding the card or making the inserts if you are going to have them.

Take the time to research and look at as many different wedding invitation ideas as you can, you may want your invitations to compliment the overall theme and colour scheme of your wedding, giving the guests a little taste of what is to come.

Once you have spent some time looking at wedding invitation ideas you can then decide if you will have them custom made or if you have decided to make your own.

If your wedding invitations are to be custom made, make sure you know all the costs involved, ask your friends if they can recommend someone so you know your wedding invitations will be made to the highest quality. Ask about money back guarantees should you be unhappy when you receive your invitations.

Always ask for a sample to be made first so you can approve the design, sometimes the wedding invitation ideas we have in our heads do not always look the same on paper.

If you have decided to make your own wedding invitations, search around for places you can buy your materials in bulk as wholesaler usually offer a significant discount.
Plan your time wisely and make sure you have enough materials should you make any mistakes.

It is always worth spending a little extra time and effort when it comes to wedding invitations, many people including the bride and groom will keep a copy of the invitation as a reminder of the special day.

Koolatron - Koolatron Voyager Cooler Koolatron - Koolatron Voyager Cooler
List Price: $159.95
Sale Price: $103.50
Used From: $120.71

The Koolatron Voyager 29 quart 12 Volt cooler is ruggedly designed with plenty of room to store and cool all your favorite travel snacks and beverages. Your family will no longer need to stop for food or soda while on the road. The time and money saved by eliminating stops at the convenience store while on trips will more than pay for the Voyager over time. A 12 Volt plug is included with your Voyager Cooler and plugs into your cigarette lighter to keep all your favorite snacks and beverages chilled up to 40ºF below the ambient temperature. The Koolatron Voyager can also keep food warm up to 135ºF. With the optional AC adaptor the cooler can be plugged into a standard 110 Volt household outlet and used indoors or on the patio as a compact refrigerator or bar fridge. The perfect gift for RVers, boaters, outdoorsmen, hunters or college students!

Ideal for road trips, camping excursions, boating trips, tailgate parties, and just about any other away-from-home activity, the Koolatron Voyager thermoelectric cooler keeps your food and beverages cool without requiring you to stock up on ice cubes every few hours. The Voyager plugs directly into your car's 12-volt cigarette lighter, where it draws less power than your headlights. Once plugged in, the cooler's thermoelectric cooling module--which takes up less space than a matchbook--maintains a constant temperature of approximately 40 to 45 degrees F lower than the temperature of the surrounding air. At a temperature of 80 degrees F, for example, the contents of the cooler will stay at 38 degrees F. As a result, you can store cool drinks for weeks on end, preserve leftovers for a couple of days, and even keep ice cubes whole for three or four days longer than traditional coolers. No more costly stops for soda or snacks, saving you both time and money while on the road. As an alternative, you can also use the Voyager to heat food up to 130 to 140 degrees F--hot enough for a potluck dinner or a picnic. Or you can split the difference and keep infant food and bottles warm while on the road. Explaining Thermoelectric Refrigeration Thermoelectric refrigeration uses a principle called the Peltier effect to pump heat electronically. Named after a French scientist who discovered it in 1834, the Peltier effect describes the process of electrical currents passing through a series of tiny metal cube junctions, thereby transferring heat from one metal to the other. When connected to a heat-absorbing device on one side and a heat-dissipating device on the other, solid-state thermoelectric modules are capable of transferring large quantities of heat. The Voyager cooler applies this technology through its internal aluminum cold plate fins, which absorb heat from the contents (food and beverages), and then use the thermoelectric modules to transfer it to the heat-dissipating fins under the control panel. The only moving part is a small 12-volt fan that disperses the heat into the air. Thermoelectric modules--which are ideally suited to recreational applications because they are lightweight, compact, insensitive to motion or tilting, have no moving parts, and can operate directly from 12-volt batteries. Voyager Benefits The Voyager offers a number of benefits to anyone who travels frequently in a vehicle. While it's not quite as portable as a traditional cooler, it still offers plenty of on-the-go freedom, making it great for day trips, long overnight journeys, pleasure boating, fishing, and camping. It's also extremely efficient, continually reducing the temperature within the first three hours depending on the contents of the unit and the surrounding air. And because there's only one moving part (the 12-volt fan), virtually nothing in the cooler can wear out. The Voyager also proves invaluable as an extra fridge in a recreation room or basement bar, the main fridge in a dorm room, as a medical cooler for samples or temperature-sensitive drugs, and as a storage case for heat-sensitive camera and film equipment in extreme climates. Specifications: Capacity: 29 quarts, or up to 48 12-ounce cans Power usage: 12 volts / 4.5 amps DC Interior dimensions: 12 by 12 by 12 inches (W x H x D) Exterior dimensions: 16 by 15.5 by 17 inches (W x H x D) Weight: 13 pounds

Actor Larry Bishop, who made his name in the '60s as the star of biker pictures like The Savage Seven, revives the genre with Hell Ride, a rough and raunchy action-drama produced by indie director and cult film aficionado Quentin Tarantino. Bishop, who wrote, produced and directed the film, is also top-billed as Pistolero, chief of the outlaw Victors, who cruise the sunbaked Southwest to avenge a fallen mama. Their target is Billy Wings (Vinnie Jones), head man for the Six-Six-Sixes, and Michael Madsen, David Carradine and Dennis Hopper (himself no stranger to biker flicks) are along to make sure that the job is completed. As pure exploitation, Hell Ride delivers the goods: the cast overacts with relish, and the on-screen excitement is divided equally between chopper action, fistfights and shootouts and plentiful female nudity, all set to a soundtrack of new and vintage fuzztone rock. However, those expecting the complexity and sheer cheek of Tarantino's own features may find the picture a little too retro-minded for their own tastes, and Bishop's pulpy dialogue is more overcooked than Tarantino at his most self-indulgent. Still, those craving old-school cycle movie satisfaction are likely to find that action with Hell Ride. Bishop is front and center for the DVD commentary, in which he explains in the most passionate of terms how he conceived and executed the project with Tarantino's help; featurettes on the cast (split between male and female) are brief and flashy, with "The Guys of Hell Ride" providing the most juice by focusing on the veteran actors. There's also a look at the film's custom made bikes, but the most "special" of the Special Features is Michael Madsen's video diary, which gives amusing insight into his distinctly offbeat perspective. -- Paul Gaita Stills from Hell Ride (Click for larger image)
