how do you feel about tipping EVERYONE nowadays?
we tip our waiter/waitress...ok, that makes sense, but do you think tipping is getting out of control? tip the hair-dresser, the valet guys, the door girl at the club, the massues...the lady who does pedicures/manicures, ect. to do thier job...Seriously, we're already paying them to do their job, now we gotta tip just for doing it? what's up with that? i dont have a problem with it, i was just wondering how you all felt about it...do you think they deserve it and do you think its neccessary?
i do tip, and i tip well...i just asked because my friend makes 14/hr as a valet guy AND gets tips...so just made me wonder...regardless of how much people make, i tip, became a habit...
I agree with you entirely. When I go to the hair dresser, which is really, really expensive I even have to tip the hair dresser's assistant, in addition to buying products paying for services and tipping the valet guy. I "witch" about it but, I am so used to and it feels weird not to do it. In Europe though, is not customary to tip everybody, waiters included. Last Winter, I went to Italy I invited a group of friends to dinner, I tipped the waiter 15% and my Italian "boyfriend" called me "insulting show-off jerk" for doing so!!!! Needless to say that we fought like cats and dogs that night♥
